Edmonds has been pretty bad. But still, you have to realize... he isn't nearly as horrible as Ryan Theriot. Theriot's the single worst player in the history of the game.You could replace Theriot with any single AAA shortstop and the AAA guy would be better.

Yes, he's bad. And, what's more, he's WAY worse than Felix. I demand that Felix be released from his Iowa purgatory poste-haste and reinstated in his righful place in the lineup.

When has Felix EVER hit near .300? EVER?!?!Well, never, really. Theriot isn't the greatest SS and he's probably the worse in the NL over the long run, but right now he's hitting over .300 with a +.400 OBP. So, what seems to be the problem?And, why are you pining for Fexlix effin' Pie so hard? He's back in Iowa hitting sub .200 with a sub .200 OBP.Which brings me to this: the Cubs suck at generating position players.

because the choice, at this point, is between felix pie and jim edmonds. to me, that's not much of a choice. i'd take pie every day.as for your fukudome to center idea, that's fine - but the cubs promised him he would play RF, which apparently was a big deal with him signing. and pie and fukudome in the OF is much better defensively.

Pie sucks. He just sucks. Bad. And hard.Edmonds also sucks, and in multiple ways. So, I'd take Pie over him anyway.About this Fukudome staying in RF nonsense: it's just crazy talk. I think Fukudome's already OK'd a move to CF if the Cubs need him there. A move into the two-spot would be grand, too.

That sentence is the understatement of the century. I don't know a single person who would like to see Edmonds playing for the Cubs. Give me Pie over Edmonds anyday.
