Perhaps Monster Or HotJobs Could Help?
Three-eighth's of the 2003 Chicago Cubs starting lineup is included in ESPN's top nine unsigned players, as Sammy Sosa, Damian Miller and Kenny Lofton are all looking for work.
Jerry Crasnick has this to say about Mr. Lofton:
In front office circles, the consensus is that Lofton would already be with a club if he had been a little less choosy. He just might resurface yet. Jake Peavy recently made a pitch for the Padres to sign him, and if Jim Edmonds continues to flounder with the Cubs, Lofton could be the next left-handed-hitting center fielder du jour in Chicago.
It almost worked last time, after all.

They want someone with experience right? Well, who has more experience than Kenny Lofton?

From a statistical standpoint; ZORP, WQAV 2.2, et al; I'd say the most important move this club can make is to get rid of Ryan Theriot. The guy did everything he could to blow the game tonight, especially in the ninth.

hawk, you're hate of Theriot has reached a ferver. Get over it, because Lou loves him.Lots of folks don't like Fontenot on this team, either, bit he did his job last night.I don't know or understand what imaninary mathemagics are involved in VORP and WQAV, but the stat heads are giving me the retard tingles. Now, watching Hendry figure out the centerfield complex is like watching a monkey punch himself in the weiner before he figures out the many advantages it presents.
