Ryan Howard, Really Really Struggling
On Friday night, Ryan Howard was 0-for-5 with three strikeouts. On Saturday night, Ryan Howard is (so far) 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. He is now batting .170, with 45 strikeouts on the year (compared to 19 hits and 18 walks).
And yet the Phillies - like the Cubs and Alfonso Soriano's miserable start - are atop the National League East, thanks primarily to Chase Utley and Pat Burrell's contract year.
